This painting is a large study of a rubber tree plant that has been with me in my studio for a few years. This plant does a strange thing, seemingly overnight it will develop beautiful bright pink/red sheaths. I read that these colourful sheaths appear when the plant is healthy, actively growing and putting forth new leaves. I now regard these bright arrivals as a gift to me, for taking such good care of my plant. :)

This painting was made on canvas hand stretched over wooden stretcher. No framing necessary :) It is possible for me to custom frame it for you in a floater frame for an extra fee. Learn more about framing here
